3-5 Working Days Delivery, Returns & Refunds

Standard Delivery Information

  • Our already highly competitive prices include delivery to approximately 95% of the UK, including most standard mainland areas. A small number of remote or highly congested locations, such as certain central London postcodes (e.g. EC and WC), may incur a modest surcharge.
  • Deliveries are typically made within 3 to 5 working days from the date the order is placed, with dispatch from our Ipswich warehouse near the discharging port of Felixstowe. Delivery times may vary slightly depending on distance and location.
  • Whilst every effort is made to deliver on an agreed date where pre-arranged, we cannot be held responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control.
  • It is the customer's responsibility to inform us of any access restrictions prior to placing an order. If no one is available to accept and sign for the delivery, or if access is not possible, re-delivery charges may apply.
  • Please inspect the goods upon delivery before signing the delivery note or POD. If there is any issue, please accept the delivery and sign as "Damaged", then contact us immediately. Pallet labels and clear photographs must also be provided.
  • During peak periods, delays may occasionally arise within the third-party pallet network. We use Palletways. Once goods are dispatched, delivery is carried out through a third-party network and timing may occasionally vary.

Please Do Not Book Builders or Hire Tools Before Delivery

  • The ETA provided by our team is generated through a third-party pallet network system and may occasionally differ from the actual arrival time. Delivery usually passes through multiple depots and hubs before reaching the local delivery depot.
  • While most deliveries arrive within the expected timeframe, small and infrequent delays can sometimes occur within pallet logistics. To avoid unnecessary inconvenience or cost, please wait until your order has been received in full before arranging builders, tradespeople or hired equipment.

Kerbside Tail-Lift Delivery

Our prices include tail-lift kerbside delivery through the Palletways network. Click to watch a short video showing how the delivery works.

Delivery is carried out by third-party couriers equipped with tail-lifts and manual pump trucks. This is a kerbside service, or delivery to the nearest safe and accessible point on a hard surface.

Chargeable Delivery Postcodes

Some postcodes are outside our standard delivery zone. Please email sales@pavingslabsuk.co.uk for information regarding the applicable surcharge for your area. If you live in one of the areas listed below, please contact our office before placing your order. A separate Delivery Surcharge will then need to be added to your order.

We are currently accepting orders for delivery to Northern Ireland, subject to the applicable delivery surcharge.

Narrow Road Policy

Most pallet deliveries in the UK are carried out using 18-tonne vehicles. If your road is narrow or access is restricted, some depots may be able to arrange a smaller vehicle where available.

If only a 7.5-tonne vehicle can access the property, additional handling or split delivery charges may apply depending on order size and depot arrangements. Customers are advised to notify us in advance of any access difficulties.

Delivery Access, Restrictions and Customer Responsibility

If a delivery cannot be completed due to restricted access, narrow roads, steep slopes, unclear address details or surrounding site conditions preventing safe unloading, additional transport costs may arise if the goods need to be returned or re-delivered. All deliveries are carried out as kerbside tail lift deliveries in accordance with Palletways Network Policy. Where a customer requires delivery onto a driveway or beyond kerbside, the local depot driver is not permitted to comply and must strictly follow Palletways kerbside tail lift delivery policy (this is due to insurance requirements and not at the driver's discretion). If this results in a failed delivery, it will be deemed unsuccessful. In such cases, any resulting costs, including re-delivery or return charges, will be the responsibility of the customer. Customers are therefore advised to inform us in advance of any known delivery difficulties.

Order Changes, Returns and After-Delivery Support

14 Day Return Period

Our returns policy works alongside your statutory legal rights. As our delivered prices already include transport costs, any return arranged after dispatch or delivery may be subject to transport, handling, inspection or restocking charges.

We recommend checking pallet labels carefully against your order before opening the packaging. This helps ensure that the correct items have arrived and avoids unnecessary handling if support is needed.

Order Changes and Return Guidance

If you wish to cancel or amend an order, please contact us as early as possible by emailing sales@pavingslabsuk.co.uk. Once dispatch has taken place, delivery and handling charges may apply.

  • Customers have 14 days from receipt of the goods to notify our sales team of a return request.
  • Returned goods must be full packs, unused, unopened, in saleable condition and in the original packaging. Only full packs can be returned.
  • Once delivery has been completed, any collection or return transport becomes chargeable and is normally the responsibility of the customer.
  • For standard mainland returns, the original delivery cost is approximately £85 per pallet and a warehouse restocking and inspection charge of £30 per pallet may also apply.
  • For Northern Ireland, return transport is significantly higher and is usually around £340 to £355 per pallet.
  • If a return is arranged through us, full charges will be confirmed in writing before collection is booked.
  • If the original packaging has been opened or needs improvement for safe transport, the customer is responsible for suitable repackaging.
  • Failed collections due to goods not being prepared in accordance with the agreed return terms may result in an additional charge.
  • Once returned goods have been received and checked by our warehouse team, any applicable refund is normally processed within 7 working days.
  • Materials that have already been installed cannot be refunded or replaced.
  • Samples are supplied only for viewing and selection purposes and are non-returnable and non-exchangeable once dispatched.

Checking Goods on Arrival

Please inspect your goods promptly upon delivery. If any visible damage is found, sign the delivery note as "Damaged" and contact sales@pavingslabsuk.co.uk with your order number and supporting photographs within 24 hours.

As paving materials are heavy products transported through pallet networks, minor chips to corners or edges can occasionally occur during transport or unpacking. These are common within the paving industry and are often concealed during installation.

Product Support for Transit Breakages

  • Every effort is made to ensure paving materials arrive in good condition. However, as heavy materials are transported through third-party pallet networks, a small level of transit damage can occasionally occur.
  • In line with common industry practice, breakages between 0% and 7% of the total order are generally regarded as within normal transport tolerance.
  • Where damage exceeds this level, support is assessed according to the quantity affected and the information provided.
  • Where a larger level of transport damage is shown, replacement materials or a proportional refund may be considered, depending on the extent of the issue and stock availability.

Further Information

Whilst every effort is made to deliver products on the planned day, delivery schedules can occasionally be affected by circumstances outside our direct control. In most cases, if a delay occurs, delivery is completed on the next working day.

Like most online paving suppliers in the UK, we rely on established third-party pallet networks for national delivery. This is standard practice across the industry and helps keep delivered prices competitive.
