Standard Delivery Information
- Our already highly competitive prices include delivery to approximately 95% of the UK, including most standard mainland areas. A small number of remote or highly congested locations, such as certain central London postcodes (e.g. EC and WC), may incur a modest surcharge.
- Deliveries are typically made within 3 to 5 working days from the date the order is placed, with dispatch from our Ipswich warehouse near the discharging port of Felixstowe. Delivery times may vary slightly depending on distance and location.
- Whilst every effort is made to deliver on an agreed date where pre-arranged, we cannot be held responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control.
- It is the customer's responsibility to inform us of any access restrictions prior to placing an order. If no one is available to accept and sign for the delivery, or if access is not possible, re-delivery charges may apply.
- Please inspect the goods upon delivery before signing the delivery note or POD. If there is any issue, please accept the delivery and sign as "Damaged", then contact us immediately. Pallet labels and clear photographs must also be provided.
- During peak periods, delays may occasionally arise within the third-party pallet network. We use Palletways. Once goods are dispatched, delivery is carried out through a third-party network and timing may occasionally vary.
Please Do Not Book Builders or Hire Tools Before Delivery
- The ETA provided by our team is system-generated through a third-party delivery network and may occasionally differ from the actual arrival time. Delivery usually takes place through a relay system involving multiple depots and hubs.
- While the vast majority of orders arrive within the expected timeframe, minor and infrequent delays can sometimes occur within pallet transport logistics. Once a consignment is in motion, the logistics chain cannot be controlled in full.
- For this reason, please do not arrange builders, tradespeople or equipment hire until your full order has been received. Although we always make every effort to deliver products on the agreed date, circumstances beyond our control may occasionally prevent delivery on the planned day. In such cases, delivery is normally completed on the next working day.
Kerbside Tail-Lift Delivery
Our prices include tail-lift kerbside delivery through the Palletways network. Click to watch a short video showing how the delivery works.

Chargeable Delivery Postcodes
Some postcodes are outside the free delivery zone. Please email sales@pavingslabsuk.co.uk for information regarding the applicable surcharge for your area. If you live in one of the delivery zones listed below, it is important that you contact our office before making your purchase. A separate Delivery Surcharge will then need to be added to your order.
We are currently accepting orders for delivery to Northern Ireland, subject to the applicable delivery surcharge.

Delivery Access, Restrictions and Customer Responsibility
If delivery cannot be completed due to restricted access, narrow roads, steep slopes, unclear address details, or surrounding site conditions that prevent safe unloading, the delivery will be deemed unsuccessful. In such cases, the responsibility lies with the customer, as it is the customer's obligation to ensure that the delivery location is suitable for safe and standard unloading.
All deliveries are carried out on a kerbside tail lift basis in accordance with Palletways Network Policy. Where a customer requires delivery onto a driveway or beyond kerbside, the local depot driver is not permitted to comply and must strictly follow Palletways kerbside tail lift delivery policy (this is due to insurance requirements and not at the driver's discretion). If delivery cannot be completed because the customer does not accept kerbside unloading under these terms, the delivery will be deemed unsuccessful, and the responsibility will remain with the customer.
Delivery Failure Charges
If goods have to be returned or re-delivered due to the above circumstances, additional transport costs will apply. These charges are typically in the region of £150 to £200 per pallet, covering the original delivery, return transport and restocking costs.
Customers should inform us in advance of any potential delivery difficulties to help avoid unnecessary issues. We kindly ask customers to carefully consider their delivery environment and access conditions before placing an order. Please understand that paving stones and tiles are very heavy, bulk goods, transported through multiple depots and handling stages before reaching your address. Unlike purchasing a shirt from a shop, where delivery and returns are straightforward, both the original delivery and any return or re-delivery of paving materials involve significant transport and handling costs.
Why Is the Local Delivery Depot Contact Number Not Provided?
- Like most online paving slabs suppliers in the UK, we use a pallet network. These networks generally do not allow retailers to share local depot contact details, as depots handle high volumes of deliveries and direct calls would affect their operations.
- The final delivery depot is not always fixed in advance. Depending on routing and transport volume, your order may be assigned to one of several local depots, so providing a single contact number may not accurately reflect where your pallets are.
- If there is any delay of your order, please contact us first. We will liaise directly with the relevant depot through the network to obtain the most accurate update for your delivery.
Why Do Unit Prices Vary for the Same Product by Quantity?
- All prices on our website include 20% VAT and nationwide delivery*, so the transport cost is already built into the unit price.
- Full pallets are the most cost-efficient, as they are shipped as standard pallets with delivery costs evenly distributed. They do not require additional re-packaging and can therefore be dispatched more quickly.
- Split packs require additional handling, as products are taken from full pallets and re-packed onto a separate pallet with wrapping and securing. As part-pallet delivery costs are similar to full pallet transport, this results in a higher unit price. Overall, unit pricing is influenced by handling efficiency, labour input, and packing material costs.
